Linville Gorge Wedding Portraits

Bri and Ethan were spending their honeymoon in the Blue Ridge Mountains after the wedding in Texas and wanted some epic portraits of them in the mountains in their wedding attire. They got to have the best of both worlds, a celebration in their home state with their family, and the adventurous mountain portraits they wanted while exploring a new landscape quite different from home.

I often get the request for a separate portrait session in wedding attire for a variety of reasons. While we usually confine the wedding to just one day, you can have pictures done a separate time or a second time! I especially love post wedding portrait sessions because it’s pure bliss. The planning and logisitics (and admittedly, the stress!) is behind you and you get to just soak in all the newlywed feelings. Every time, couples feel so carefree and relaxed, the energy is just so different during these sessions.

It was so evident how excited Bri and Ethan were about the hike and views but also the fact that they were now husband and wife as of just a few days ago. So we took our sweet time walking through the woods, soaking in the views and playing with the polaroid camera they brought along. We all wanted to stay as long as possible so we waited until the sun disappeared completely and made our way back to our cars as the sky turned dark blue.
