Can you see it?
You’re family and pups standing next to an alpine lake nestled in the mountains, exchanging your vows. Your parents are your officiants and your dog signs your marriage license as witness. You share a delicious locally made cake before the two off you head off to wander through a wildflower filled meadow like you’ve never seen before. Best Places to Elope in Colorado
Crested Butte, CO
Crested Butte, while a lesser known spot compared to the more popular ski resorts, offers less crowds and a stunning display of wildflowers in the summer. It has a ridiculously cute downtown and doesn't require you to go far for incredible views and trails full of flowers. Crested Butte offers more of a romantic laid back vibe than epic adventure.
Ouray, CO
Ouray, known as the Switzerland of America for good reason, is located in the San Juan Mountains and offers access to 4x4 jeeping trails over 13,000 foot mountain passes. Around Ouray, you can find yourself in lush green meadows with wildflowers, high alpine lakes, or among red rock formations. If you want to avoid hiking but have access to insane views, come here for an unforgettable jeeping experience.
