Stunning Northern California Wedding Venues

With backdrops of wine country, the coast, or mountains to choose from, Northern California has all the dreamy vibes for a wedding. Even better, the weather in this area is temperate year-round, so you can plan a wedding here in any season! Whether you’re looking to escape the cold and snow in the winter or don’t want to feel sweaty during your summer wedding, I’ve searched and found some incredible northern California wedding venues out there. I broke them down into a few different categories depending on the region or vibe you’re going for: the coast, wine country and the mountains.

If you’re searching for where to get married in northern California, look no further! These are my favorite recommendations north of San Francisco.

*Disclaimer - These venues options are based purely on my research as possible options for your wedding day and are meant to help you jumpstart your own research. I know how overwhelming googling can be! While I have been to the northern coast of California, I have not yet photographed at these venues but would love to do so, with YOU!

Northern California wedding venues: Coast

These venues are all located along the coast of Northern California. Marked by rocky cliffs and waves crashing against towering sea stacks, it’s truly a stunning part of the country. And it’s highly underrated so the crowds aren’t nearly as heavy as in other popular coastal spots like New England or southern California. Think cozy coastal grandmother vibes, but with a moody west coast twist. I truly love this part of the country - so much that I’ve written elopement guides for the Redwoods, Northern California and southern Oregon! If you’re planning an adventurous destination wedding, these are the best northern California wedding venues on the coast.
