Boone Mountain Sunset Elopement Shoot

This past fall I got together with some other amazing creatives in the wedding industry in Boone to practice, have some fun, and create. When your art becomes your business it would seem that all you’re doing is constantly creating, however it is in much different sense and I find it very important to create in a way that honors my couples. But being able to create without any guidelines, expectations, internal or external pressures, it was magic. It felt freeing and exciting and gave me some new perspectives and ideas to bring into my future work.

Hopefully you’re hiring your vendors because you feel confident and excited by their work.

The best thing you can tell any of your vendors is that you trust them and their vision.

When both of those things happen, magic is created and your vendor can really focus on their craft and use their expertise to create something special for you.

Some of that magic came to life from this amazing vendor team and it was so fun to capture. What is also really exciting - you can have this too. Styled shoots are a great chance to show couples what is possible. We can all get bogged down in the trends of Pinterest and tradition, so it can be helpful to have an expert planner or florist to give some fresh ideas.

This location specifically has A LOT of perks you can read about below - such as renting this adorable mountain A frame for your own mountain wedding….DREAMYYY! Where do I book, right?!

Chalet Shiloh is a beautiful cabin nestled into the mountains, only a 15 minute drive from Boone, North Carolina. It has dark wooden beams, high loft ceilings, and all the nordic design vibes you could dream of. Natural light floods in and the whole space is very inspiring and allows for beautiful getting ready photos. It’s also the perfect option if you don’t want to hike (you CAN invite grandma to your mountain elopement!). And because it isn’t on the Blue Ridge Parkway you don’t have to worry about road closures in the winter months and you are able to bring/use florals. (FYI - The Blue Ridge Parkway restricts any florals/live plant matter being brought on the parkway to protect the native species and land.) If you are planning a winter elopement or intimate wedding I’ve got 5 tips for you to help prepare!

Perks: No hiking involved, (so grandma can come!), no worries about road closures, and no restrictions on using florals!

The private ceremony site for weddings is right down the hill from the Airbnb. The mountains are visible in the background, and it’s so convenient! With the Chalet on site for getting ready, parking spaces, and the ceremony site within walking distance, it’s perfect for a mountain wedding or elopement, especially if you have guests. And if the weather isn’t cooperating, you can move the party inside. If it is a gorgeous day, you can hop in the car for a short drive to the parkway and hike to an epic location for some more portraits and some time to soak in your marital bliss!

The options for your perfect day really are endless.

The Laurel Collective put together the table scapes and wedding details, and Luna Lynn Creative made the most beautiful stationary! The local Stick Boy Bread created an unreal fig and caramel wedding cake, which added so nicely to the other details Nicole and Sierra did hair and makeup on the models, and they did a stunning job! The women all wore wedding dresses provided by London & Lace, and they all had unique touches like that ombre veil I’m still obsessing over. I’m so grateful that Beulah Photography organized this amazing elopement shoot, and I love being able to provide inspiration and recommendations to couples who are looking to get married in Boone!
