Crested Butte Colorado Elopement Bridal Session

Bridal portraits in the Colorado mountains during peak wildflower season?! Yes, please! I had been to Colorado before but had not yet seen the wildflowers in bloom and wow, they did not disappoint. Crested Butte is referred to as Colorado’s Wildflower Capital and holds the Wildflower Festival since 1986 and for good reason. The flowers were in abundance along the trails we hiked and were such a spectacular backdrop for this bridal session. One of the best parts? There were numerous trails right in town that were easily accessible and not too strenuous, so enjoying the wildflowers is easy to do. Additionally, Crested Butte, is the cutest town! And while it sees SO many visitors during the winter, it wasn’t very crowded even during the Wildflower Festival while we were there.

While I’d highly recommend seeking out wildflowers (in Colorado or elsewhere) for a session or elopement setting, it is always important to practice Leave No Trace principles as they are highly sought after and trafficked areas. Wondering how to enjoy the wildflowers appropriately to best protect them?
