The Most Joyful Engagement Session - North Carolina

I don’t know two people who can make each other laugh and smile more. SERIOUSLY. My process for photographing couples is a combination of giving a starting point and direction coupled with natural interaction and conversation to create genuine emotion. I’m usually focusing on the in-between, transitionary moments. Those are where the gems are at because it’s the most natural and true. But this session, honestly I barely did anything. Janine and Nathan are so playful and madly in love.

They have that kind of relationship that just being around refreshes your soul (and makes you want to go give your own husband a big hug.)

There wasn’t any reservation about being silly and their true selves. They have a passion for life which is apparent right of the bat and especially so when they talk about each other, their close knit family and their work. Janine is the owner of an exploding business, Rosewood co that makes custom handmade tables and Nathan is a personal trainer (and a big help with the business). Together they are a force and a light.

They made their session even more meaningful by choosing a location very special to them. These incredible pine trees and the wide open field is right on their family property where they hold many special memories, including the night Nathan proposed. Now they were able to create another special memory there and have it captured.

No matter where they go and no matter how long it’s been since they’ve visited this special spot, they’ll always have those memories come flooding back when look at their photographs.
