Congaree National Park Engagement Session - South Carolina

One of my favorite things about being an adventurous wedding photographer is exploring new places. Since Cat and Robert live in Savannah and I’m located in Charlotte, we found the perfect spot to meet in-between, Congaree National Park in South Carolina. I had never explored this park before though it boasts some pretty cool facts, like being the largest tract of old growth hardwood forest in the US. We only got a little glimpse of its 26,000+ acres but it was beautiful. It always amazes me how diverse and unique the landscape of our country is.

Though Cat and Robert admitted to being a bit nervous about being photographed I have NO IDEA what they were talking about!! They were seriously so calm and relaxed the whole time! I think you can genuinely see it on her face. Though they weren’t at all stressed about the wedding later this month, (Kudos to them, right! They had such great perspectives.) life had been pretty crazy for them, but photographing in nature always brings a sense of peace and calmness to the session.
