Fun Facts About Me - Adventurous Elopement and Wedding Photographer

I am calling this space my journal, because I want to use this place to honestly document this journey, highlight my awesome couples, share more of our story, and most importantly, connect with you.

I’ll be journaling about the coolest couples I get to spend my time with, along with my travels, our little family of three, and the journey of running a business. It truly is my desire to develop genuine friendships from this job and industry so let's start with some fun facts for you to get to know me better.  If there's anything you ever want to know more about, have your own fun fact, or are surprised by one of these facts, just let me know below!

  • My degree is in American Sign Language (and I dream of the day I get to photograph a wedding for a rad Deaf couple)

  • I am very sarcastic along with the rest of my family

  • I'm type A to a fault

  • I was raised around animals; bottle feeding lambs, throwing corn to the cows, witnessing a horse give birth, holding baby chicks

  • Jake and I started dating in high school when I was just 15 (should I dig up some old pictures???)

  • I've been a vegetarian for 10 years, but I can wholeheartedly agree that bacon is freaking delicious

  • I love manual labor, I can't really explain why...but I do

  • My husband and I are always on the hunt for amazing food/coffee and dream of exploring Michelin star restaurants

  • I love to create oil paintings of landscapes in my spare time

  • I save bugs. Even spiders. I was that kid in the classroom that scooped them up and put them outside

  • I am (annoyingly) obsessed with our pup, Scarlett May. However we wanted a mid size dog that was at least 50lbs - we adopted Scarlett when she was 8 weeks old and were told she was lab/spaniel mix. But we have begrudgingly come to terms with the fact that she is somehow part dachshund and love her anyways

  • I can wiggle my ears
