Providence Cotton Mill Rock-n-Roll Elopement

While it can be hard to communicate what aesthetic and details you want for your day, Janette knew exactly what she wanted for her edgy rock-n-roll elopement and it came together perfectly at the open air venue, Providence Cotton Mill. It also helps when you find vendors who get your vision and have the expertise to make it come to life. Janette knew just because she was eloping it didn’t mean she wanted to forgo the fun and beautiful details that can make the day more festive and celebratory. So after months of planning, finding her venue, and hiring a great team we got to celebrate this past summer with Janette and Paul.

Their elopement is a great example of what is possible when you want to be able to utilize a venue for the conveniences it offers, a bathroom, a getting read space, a covered and protected area etc. but not go the traditional route. I especially love open air venues for that reason and you get to still feel like your outdoors, but you don’t need a rain plan!

Janette had intentionally thought through every detail and created an environment that reflected them. She created a sophisticated lounge area for her, and a bar cart with cigars and whiskey for her husband. She even bought two neon signs for a fun photo op for her husband, but my favorite of them all was the large cutout of their cat dressed for the occasion. It was such a hilarious way to include a furry loved one that couldn’t be there day of. (I immediately planned to buy one as a surprise for my sister’s wedding, this is the company I used, and everyone loved it.)

So this is your reminder that however you plan your day, traditional wedding, hiking elopement, or somewhere in between - you can include details that show your personality and make your day more festive, even if it is just for the sake of fun or beauty!
