California Coast Adventure Session

When you think beaches does your mind also automatically go to California?! They are in no short supply of breath taking beaches along the whole dang coast. And it is NOTHING like the east coast. So when we headed to LA for a food tour through the city for Jake’s 30th birthday I made sure we had some time to skip up to Malibu and get our toes sandy in Santa Monica.

Fortunately we also have some dear friends who recently moved to California that we got to catch up with. And I was so excited to have them behind the camera for a bit. Jake and Mar are two of the most easy going people we know and their love is so effortless. Before going out to dinner we all rolled up our pants, kicked off our shoes, and watched the sunset on the beach.

After eating our way through the city we also drove a little ways up the coast to get a taste of the epic coastline and knew we would need to come back to experience it more fully. We’re heading to California again this year in April! This time we are starting in San Fransisco, renting a van through Go Camp and driving up the coast into Oregon!

Did you know you can avoid travel fees for adventure sessions and weddings if you book in a location I’m already traveling to? Just shoot me an email and ask about my upcoming travel plans for the year.

Another great time to plan an adventure session is when you already have a trip booked! You’re going to want to remember your amazing trip and chances are you aren’t going to have many pictures of the two of you together (besides awkward selfies). I know in my family I’m the one always taking the photos so I’m never in any of them. When we get home and go through photos it’s like Jake just took a trip all by himself! We make it a goal to hire a photographer for a session when we travel now and they are always some of our favorite memories and photos from our trip - they really capture the location and how we were feeling when we where there. Need more beachy inspo or looking to elope on the California coast?
