A-Frame Cabin Airbnb Elopement In The Mountains
This Storybook A-Frame Cabin Airbnb in the woods in Boone, North Carolina made for a picture perfect elopement. Being close to downtown Boone and the Blue Ridge Mountains makes this a great location when planning to elope. The cabin is easy to get to, provides an intimate and convenient space to get ready in and the front of the cabin is so dang cute you can use it for the backdrop of your ceremony and the deck for your intimate dinner! Plus it’s a short drive to breath taking views along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is hands down, one of my favorite Airbnb’s for weddings in North Carolina.
An A-Frame cabin has a tall, triangular roof that resembles the capital letter “A”. If you have not yet seen these stunning cabins on your Pinterest feed, then you are in for a treat. When it comes to finding a gem of an Airbnb for your own elopement take notes because this one will check all your boxes. Imagine taking a treehouse and mixing it with folk vibes within the woods. The charm and serenity right in the woods set the scene for this elopement.
When it comes to planning small, intimate, elopements and weddings, Airbnb’s are a great option. You can really utilize the space for not only your ceremony and reception but also for getting ready and lodging for family members. Plus, if you use an Airbnb, you don't have to worry about parkway restrictions and can have flowers and a champagne pop!
Getting ready took place within the cozy a-frame cabin. When it was time for the ceremony, we didn’t have to go far. Anahla and Gabe each exchanged their vows on the porch of the eclectic black cabin accented with a rug, candles, and some warm burnt orange/dusty pink flower arrangements by Blooming Branch Creative, to provide an intimate and warm atmosphere.
When looking for an Airbnb for your intimate wedding or elopement it can certainly feel overwhelming, so first and foremost, start looking early because they book up fast! Utilize the filters Airbnb offers and if possible, search without any date restrictions to really see what unique options there are.
Being close to downtown Boone, a popular mountain town in the Blue Ridge Mountains, allowed us to be close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, just like Asheville. This allows you to incorporate mountains, nature, and adventuring into your day and make for epic portraits. We headed to a spot on the parkway so they could share their private first dance with just the mountains as their audience, and though couples often use a playlist and speaker for music, this time I had my very own talented husband bring along his guitar to play! (Which yes, you can totally have him come along as well and play music for you!) Afterwards, they took a quiet moment to share warm mugs of hot chocolate and relax.
When opting for an intimate wedding or elopement, YES, you can still have a reception celebration with your small crew! Since you aren’t paying for as many guests, you can explore options like a private chef, having a designer create an atmosphere and tablescape with all the beautiful details, or even include a live musician for background music.
When we got back from their portraits in the mountains, the designer, Blooming Branch Creative, had set up the intimate dinner reception on the back deck. The table was set for 6 and created such an intimate moment for them and a couple of guests. Just because there are only a few of you does not mean you have to forsake the details and beautiful décor. Choosing an Airbnb for your wedding day is so much more than a unique venue. It provides a comfortable home base to get ready in and then come back to after adventures. It can provide a private setting for your ceremony or reception, and it can even provide additional accommodations for your guests. Plus there are usually fewer limitations since it isn’t a traditional venue.
And you may be wondering, well the how the heck do I make that all happen? Then answer? Hire expert vendors! They can help show you how all of this is possible and doesn’t require you to lift a finger on your day! It’s easy to think when we are doing things on a smaller scale that your mom can do it, or your aunt can cook the meal, or your best friend can set up the flowers, but your guests want to celebrate WITH you. So to minimize stress, maximize time with your few selected guests, involve people that know what they’re doing and can make your vision come to life.
A huge thank you to all the talented vendors who made this day possible. You each brought sincere charm in every detail adding magic to this A-Frame Cabin Airbnb Elopement.
